For more than 20 years, Eventide Theatre Company (ETC) has been committed to bringing great theatre to the mid-Cape and beyond. Located in the heart of Dennis Village, Eventide also has a tradition of “giving something back” to the community: 10% of the first weekend’s proceeds are donated to a local not-for-profit. In recent years, that has included Homeless but Not Helpless and CapeAbilities. The choice is based partially on connecting with a theme of the play. This year, The Family Pantry was chosen as the recipient. Having enjoyed a very successful run of A.R. Gurney’s The Dining Room, Eventide Theatre was able to present a check for $385 to the Family Pantry. Eventide would like to thank their wonderful audiences (several sold-out performances !) for helping make this donation possible. Coming in May: Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury, directed by Maggie Bossi. Go to www.EventideArts.org for details and a complete list of upcoming events.
