At ETC, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, including performers, crew, staff, volunteers, and audience members. Discrimination and harassment of any kind have no place in our community theater, and we uphold a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that undermines the dignity and well-being of others.
1. Non-Discrimination Policy
- ETC strictly prohibits discrimination based on race, ethnicity, color, national origin, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, socioeconomic status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
- Every individual involved in our productions and programs shall have equal opportunity to participate, audition, work, and volunteer in a fair and respectful environment.
2. Anti-Harassment Policy
Harassment, whether verbal, physical, or visual, is not tolerated at ETC. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Unwelcome sexual advances, comments, or gestures
- Derogatory remarks, slurs, or jokes about a person’s identity
- Bullying, intimidation, or threats of any kind
- Unwanted physical contact or invasion of personal space
- Disruptive, hostile, or exclusionary behavior that impacts an individual’s participation
3. Reporting & Resolution
If any participant experiences or witnesses discrimination or harassment, they are encouraged to report the incident to a designated theater representative (e.g., Artistic Director, Business Manager or Board Member). Reports will be handled with discretion, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality where possible.
- We pledge to promptly investigate all reports and take appropriate action, which may include mediation, education, or removal from participation in theater activities.
- Retaliation against any individual who reports discrimination or harassment is strictly prohibited.
