SONGFEST 2008 RULES AND REGULATIONS

Deadline for submissions: May 23rd, 2008
Entry Fee: $12.00 per entry (make checks payable to: Eventide Arts)
Entries must include cassette tape or CD and lyric sheet (ONE SONG per CD or cassette).
Maximum length of song entries: 4 1/2 minutes.

Categories:

All finalists will be notified by May 30th, 2008.
Finalist concert and winners announcement: Sunday, June 8th, 2008 (2:00 PM) at

Dennis Union Church.
Finalists are encouraged, but not required, to perform live on June 8th (excerpt of song on tape or CD may be used).

Important things to remember:

• Eventide policy requires that all co-writers be properly credited.
• If you send a cassette, be sure to rewind it all the way to the beginning.
• If you send a CD, double-check to make sure it has sound (this may seem obvious, but we’ve received CD’s in the past that have been blank).
• Judges are listening for the song quality rather than the recording quality.
• Home demo recordings are okay, but make sure the vocal is out front enough to be clearly heard. Also, keep intros and solos short.
